Direct Services

The consumer and independent living specialist work together to set goals which enable the consumer to be self directed and independent in his/her home and community.   Individual skills training may include: learning community resources, budgeting, basic computer training, banking, meal preparation, organizing/setting priorities for task accomplishment, socialization skills,  and mastery of assistive devices.  Assistance with benefits and housing applications is provided.  Consumers are apprised of their legal rights and provided self- advocacy training.  For more information please call 738-1013 ext 13 to speak to our Information and Referral Specialist.
