About OSCIL

Welcome to the Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL), where empowerment, inclusivity, and independence converge to create a thriving non-profit organization supporting and serving Rhode Islanders with significant disabilities. Since our establishment, OSCIL has been at the forefront of advocating for and supporting the rights of people with disabilities, promoting their active participation in all aspects of life.

OSCIL envisions a world where people with disabilities have equal opportunities, full participation, and complete integration into society. Our vision is centered on fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity and empowers individuals to lead self-directed lives.

The mission of OSCIL is to enhance the quality of life of Rhode Islanders with significant disabilities through the provision of a range of independent living services, and to promote integration of these individuals into the community.
