Christina Battista
Christina is a Supported Employment Coordinator at Skills for Rhode Island’s Future, helping individuals with disabilities prepare for employment. She serves on several boards, including OSCIL, chairs the Rhode Island Statewide Independent Living Council, and is a motivational speaker sharing her experiences with a physical disability.

Karen Santilli
Karen Santilli is the CEO of the Greater Providence YMCA, overseeing six branches, Camp Fuller, and 41 childcare sites. Before joining in 2024, she was CEO of Crossroads Rhode Island, leading efforts to combat homelessness. Santilli, recognized as one of Rhode Island’s most influential leaders, holds degrees from Rhode Island College and serves on several boards.

A recipient of the Congressional Leadership Award, he is a former member of the RI Board of Education and is active in legislative advocacy on behalf of the National Federation for the Blind. He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Board Member
Mother of 4 children and grandmother to 12, Elizabeth worked as a nurse-midwife in community health centers for the last 25 years of her career. After retiring, she worked with immigrants and refugees in Providence, Central Falls, and El Paso, TX. She had a spinal cord injury in 2020 and has been working very hard at achieving some degree of independence.

Michael A. Matracia is a 33-year Providence police officer and advocate for the MS Dream Center and OpenDoors RI. In addition to OSCIL's board, he serves on the RI Developmental Disabilities Council and the State Independent Living Council.
