Equipment Loan Program

The Ocean State Center for Independent Living's Equipment Loan Program enhances the independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities by making a variety of adaptive devices available for loan.

Wide Range of Equipment

From mobility aids to special utensils and magnification devices, OSCIL ensures you have the tools you need to overcome the barriers you face. Thanks to our large inventory of equipment, you can even try out different items to figure out which solution is the best to meet your needs!

Our experienced Independent Living Coordinators will help you determine the best equipment to meet your needs, and make sure you know how to use it safely and effectively.

We may require a doctor's note to verify that certain devices are safe for you to use.

Flexible Loan Periods

Whether you have a temporary injury or a long-term condition, your continued independence is our goal, so you can borrow equipment from our loan program for as long as you need it!

Time limits may apply for our hand cycle and other recreational equipment.
