Topic: East Bay Community Action Programs and Services
East Bay Community Action (EBCAP) provides a wide array of health and human services to the residents of the East Bay and has played a major role in Rhode Island’s COVID-19 response. This includes operating three testing sites, hosting vaccination clinics, and assisting to local residents impacted by COVID-19 with their applications to RentReliefRI.
EBCAP’s Behavioral Health component recently expanded mental health and substance use disorder services and developed a Same Day Access Model. This helps increase services including emergency assessments, crisis stabilization, opiate triage, harm reduction education, same day Medication-Assisted Treatment, patient-centered treatment for mental health and substance use therapy, and care coordination. Representatives from the EBCAP’s Family Development Department and Health and Behavioral Health Services will speak about these services and a Q & A session will follow the presentation.
